Surviving
When sadness fills your heart and soul,
You think there is no where you can turn to,
You think no one can help you,
You think that you are lost forever.
That is until,
Some one special
Lifts you off your feet,
And creates a whole new world for you.
This one person appears to be an angel,
Or someone else sent from above.
This person changes your life,
And your way of thinking…
This person touches your heart,
And helps rebuild your soul,
This person means the world and more to you.
For this single person,
You would take a punch,
A bullet,
Your life.
You fear for the day he will leave you,
For that is the day your world will fall apart again.
But this time,
It will crash down,
Like an airplane falling from the sky,
Everything in its path will be destroyed,
Especially,
Your life.
But you hope this day will never come,
You hope he will last forever,
You’re hoping he will stick around,
For you think you need him to survive.
His touch is indented in your heart,
And his words are imprinted in your soul,
His smile,
Is also your own
And his eyes,
Were made for looking into yours…
Your life is part of his map now,
And you’re hoping it will continue on forever.
You view him as your life preserver,
For he has “saved” you from drowning,
In your own pity and sorrow.
This person cares for you,
And you care for him,
You’re praying nothing will tear you two apart,
And that everything will keep you two together.
When you’re with him,
You feel like a top,
For you keep on spinning around continuously,
In happiness and glory.
Your love for him,
Feels like the earth,
For it never stops,
And it is always changing directions.
And when you are in his arms,
You feel like there is nothing that can get to you,
You feel safe,
You feel loved,
You feel needed…
You feel like you are everything he wants…
You feel you could move a mountain,
You feel you could swim a hundred rivers.
You feel like the most cherished person in the world.
His love seems like it could last for eternity,
But it also could end in a blink of an eye,
But hopefully it won’t,
For you love him,
And need him by your side…
So please don’t just forget or leave her,
You are her love,
You are her life,
She thinks she needs you to survive.
