Gabriel's Promise

Rating:
Quality: (Quality: Unrated)

An angel ran into the room, his face was gauntly white He begged to see the one in charge with lips thin and tight The guarding angel looked at him and asked him what was wrong The angel said there are children in danger and I fear we don't have long The guarding angel stood straight up and quickly ran down the hall He returned with Gabriel, who asked the angel exactly what he saw The angel said there was a school that Satan was planing to attack Demons had won the hearts of two but he didn't have all the facts Gabriel quickly sounded the alarm for his army to prepare for war And as the angels gathering out front, they heard a terrible roar Feeling the cries of children and teachers, they knew it had begun With armor tight they were a beautiful sight, more brilliant then the sun At the school the angels saw the demons had claimed the hearts of two Gabriel's concern was for the children, for these ugly demons he knew He'd fought these demons in battles before, but he had orders not to kill Gabriel could only wound them for now, he always obeyed God's will Prejudice had captured one boys heart and had turned it hard as stone While Envy and Pride had possessed another and made him feel so alone Gabriel knew of these demons powers. He knew he must do this right. So he raised his shield and called their names, then hit them with it's light Demons love darkness. They hate the light, for it bears the truth within The shield is a mirror that reflects the lies and shows our blackened sins When facing the shield where their sin is exposed, no creature can stand to see That what they are doing goes against God's will, with this the demons must flee As the demons hid from the light of God, the boys saw themselves in the shield With guns in their hands, the boys saw the dead and the blood that had been spilled As Gabriel raced to help the boys that had been held in the demons grasps The demons laughed, whispered to the boys, then the guns fired one last blast As he knelt by the boys with their lives now gone, Gabriel began to cry I can't understand why the children of God continue to believe those lies Why can't they see that there's only one way to live this life on earth Where all is for one and one is for all and everyone has a worth Gabriel arose and told his angels to comfort the children who died Tell them we're fighting a battle that starts when children believe Satan's lies And tell them that God is always with them and to His home they must now go And I promise one day this evil will end and God's love will be all that is known
