1 absolutely true list of things I've learnt from life

1. A friend is one of the best things you can have, and one of the nicest things you can be.
2. There are very few true friends, so be cautious, and at times, hide stuff entirely from people you don’t trust. You never know who might turn their back on you and when.
3. It is okay to be a dreamer, as it gives you some hope. But you have to realize that you can’t live on dreams alone – so dreaming about the perfect guy will not help you pass the math exam.
4. Act your age. Even though you think you’re smarter than the others, you may not be, and people don’t like Cheeky Charlies.
5. You have to learn stuff the hard way. Don’t rely on other people’s experiences and take that as your experience. The same thing what happened to them may happen to you, but you might experience the same terrible thing in a different way. However, learn from the mistakes of others – you don’t live long enough to make them all yourself.
6. Be yourself around people – they will like you for the real you in the end.
7. Popularity isn’t everything – so don’t die to be accepted by the others, because it’s not worth it. Survival is what matters in the end.
8. Friends come first, and then come the person you are dating. Nothing is more important than a shoulder to cry on.
9. Give and take hugs. Nice little gestures like that make someone’s day.
10. Keep your life simple. The more complicated it gets, the more you will have to deal with if things go wrong.
11. It’s okay to cry when things hurt, and its bad to keep your feelings bottled up inside you.
12. You need a best friend.
13. When you move from middle school to high school, you’ve gone from the biggest to the littlest. So you are practically a nobody in the ninth grade, and it would help if you didn’t irritate the seniors and get in their way.
14. Never think you’re too good looking or popular for anybody, because there’s always someone out there who can squash you without even trying.
15. Be nice to people. That goes a long way in life.
16. Be a friend when people need you. And once they open their hearts to you, and pour out all their secrets, the worst thing you can do, even if you are no longer friends, is to spread their secrets.
17. Don’t be prejudiced. Prejudice hurts.
18. Everyone has a right to live – so don’t crush people unnecessarily.
19. You cannot find true love in your teens, it takes some time.
20. Never be mean to people.
21. And don’t spend a lot of time thinking up revenge – it only gives the other person the satisfaction that he/she’s go to you.
22. Don’t count calories for at least one meal a month, because that little isn’t going to hurt.
23. People online are mostly good, and all of them are not creeps.
24. Suicide is not the only answer.
25. Crying is going to make you feel much, much better.
26. Don’t pretend you have a boyfriend/girlfriend when you don’t really have one.
27. If you want to get things done, you have to work hard and struggle to reach your goal.
28. Guys never change – it’s just that you view them a different way each time.
29. Friends are forever. Guys are not.
30. When a guy dumps you, it’s going to be really hard to get over…not only the first time, but all the times. But hang in there – a lot of other people are feeling the same way you are.
31. Guys are actually sweet.
32. Not all guys are jerks.
33. Always be on your guard.
34. Fooling around before an exam will not guarantee a pass, even if you lie to your parents that you have done well.
35. Children are the best when you want to relax and unwind.
36. It’s okay to make a fool of yourself in public once in a while – you’re not going to be alone.
37. Don’t be self-conscious…everyone else is too busy worrying about themselves to notice you making a fool of yourself.
38. Loosen up.
39. Lend smiles.
40. When you’re feeling depressed, talk to someone. They will talk you out of committing suicide.
41. Life is precious.
42. The people you love are always taken away from you too soon.
43. Every good thing ends soon.
44. Some good things never change.
45. You cannot be happy forever – you have to learn to deal with life’s ups and downs.
46. One day, you will be on your own; so get adjusted to the big, bad world.
47. Learn how to take care of yourself.
48. Listen to your parents – don’t forget, they’ve been there too and they know right from wrong.
49. Don’t do anything crazy now which gives you momentarily pleasure but will ruin your life forever.
50. Think twice before you try to take one friend away from another (even if they were friends before, and are enemies now, they will turn out to be best friends, thus foiling your jealous plan).
I learnt the most important thing of all from my best friend – A best friend is a present that you can open again and again.
