I am not here to "bash" any Americans nor am I here to "boost the ego of fellow Canadians" because to be honest this is all very sickening. How both Canadians' and Americans' are saying how their country is so much better and why. How I see it is that neither one is better then the other or in fact any country. After reading some of these submissions I wonder how any of you can be proud of yourselves for writing hateful messages to each other and just creating more racism within our world that our governments are trying to rid of. I have to laugh at what one Canadian said though, how are country is 'peaceful'. If our country is so peaceful then how come thousands of Japanese-Canadians were taken from their homes and deported to the Rockies and put in a camp where they were to stay until further notice. This also goes for the Americans, who also did this. Sure both of our governments were protecting us because they maybe spies but for goodness sakes, none of them were. Wow, now I bet you are all really proud of your countries now. A boat heading to Canada with Jewish immigrants was turned around and sent back to Germany where Nazi officials took them away to concentration or as some call it 'death' camps. Americans weren't even involved in the war, other then sending packages to the countries, until they themselves had been bombed on December 7th. Yet two more incidents that our countries should be proud of. All of you have should be ashamed of yourselves. We should be uniting ourselves not fighting. Right now bombings are going on as American troops hunt for Osama Bin Laden yet thousands of innocent lives are being taken. Yes I know that many lives were lost on September 11th as well but that does not mean that since Americans and Canadians lost lives then that we are to take them now. I can't even remember the real reason that President Bush was outing his army in Afghanistan. I thought it had been to look for illegal weapons...well, where are they? Surely now that Saddam is no-where to be seen and is presumably dead, that they could find them. Chretian is no better...I think a toddler could run the country better. I don't see much money going to the cattle farmers on the prairies because of the loss of profit and after math during the mad-cow disease problem. I could keep going but I think I have made my point. None of us are saints but the least we could do is to get along with each other.
