America vs Canada. WTF

What is with all these America vs Canada...Canadians vs Americans BS?

So many of you are too proud, too egotistical.  I blame this on the North American (meaning both Canadian and American) way of living.  Everything is just so superficial.  Omg, you have accents.  Omg, we have/are hicks.
OMG

We tend to generalize everything: 
I met an American who was dumb...therefore every American is dumb.  Last year,  I went to Canada and it was cold...therefore Canada is cold all the time.

And then I hear about how this country or other is dumb.  Intelligence, desipte popular belief, is all relative: 
I can't add...but for the love of god I can write poetry 
I'm not talented in academics, but I excel in other fields.
Does that make me dumb?

National pride good.  But there is such a thing as too much.
