1 1 10 a few reasons why cheerleading is a sport

ok.... I know that everyone thinks that cheerleading isn't a sport, but I can tell you....it is a lot harder than your other so-called 'sports'. All basketball players have to do is run up and down a court with a ball and try to shoot it into this net. Cheerleaders have to scream as loud as they can which tends to hurt your throat after a little bit. And while they do this they have to smile. They throw girls into the air which isn't that easy even if you are the one being thrown. And sure it is really easy to get hurt in basketball and in football, but cheerleaders get hurt too. Do basketball and football players ever fall from 20 feet in the air and hit the ground? I fall alot and I have sprained bones, jammed fingers, got thousands of HUGE bruises, and had pulled and sore muscles enough to last me a lifetime.

My cheerleading squad practices more than our school's basketball team does. The team sucks, but out squad rocks We practice twice a week and before a preformance, we pracitce every day. We also do alot more work. We have less breaks, and we sweat more. If we had a choice, we would not cheer in skirts, we would cheer in loose, comfortable shorts. We are not all stupid and ditzy. I am in the top of my class and I am a cheerleader. No, we aren't the smartest people in the world all of the time, but on the whole, we are pretty smart.

my squad has several very true sayings about cheerleading. here they are:
If cheerleading were easy, then more boys would do it.
Basketball and Football players throw balls, Cheerleaders throw people; which do you think is harder.
Cheerleading is for people who can stand the pain.
My Life: Eat, Sleep, Cheer. Eat, Sleep, Cheer.

N-e-wayz, cheerleaders are the only ppl who are not afraid to get up and yell for their school. We have the spirit and we are not afraid to show it. I can play any sport that i feel like playing, and so far, cheerleading is the only one that i find challenging. And the only reason that other athletes diss cheerleading is so that they can actually make themselves look a little better. Well guess what, it ain't gonna work. We cheerleaders will continue to fight until you others finally realize that cheerleading is a sport.

After reading this, if you are still really ignorant and you still think cheerleading is not a sport, i want you to email me and tell me why.
