I know this girl who lives in fear,
of what others think of her.
She doesn't let anyone know of this,
But, still, she's so unsure.
Dreaming of the land away,
Of times so far from now,
She dreams of all that she can be,
as much as her mind will allow.
She longs to be away from here,
She dreams of the open road.
She wants to take the chances,
If she doesn't, she'll never know.
She dreams of being on her own,
And living her life her way.
but still she dreams of having a love,
Someone who'll forever stay.
SHe hates the person she's become,
She feels she's lost in the dark.
SHe can't find her way in her own mind,
or around the aching in her heart.
But tell her she's not good enough.
And she'll prove you wrong.
Tell her that she'll never make it,
but she'll show you she's really strong.
Sometimes i feel the way she does,
I feel it so strongly.
But maybe i fell it just becuase,
This hurting girl is me.
