I came to the country Canada 14 years ago and I quite enjoy this place for all the benefits and opportunities it has provided me.
To the person who started this whole thing, whether you are Canadian or American, I would just like to say you are obviously an idiot and a shit disturber. What is the point of starting all this trouble? Now reading the arguments for which country is better than who's is the most pathetic attempt at an arugument I have ever seen.
What kind of an argument is: "uhh....Canada has better beer than America", or "I'm sorry you live in a country where people speak French", and yet my favourite, "your country sucks because you guys live in igloos, are lumberjacks, you say eh all the time and your president sucks". Really now, must you insist on proving your IQ is equivalent to a dung beetle?
First of all, what the hell does having good beer have anything to do with how great a country is? Second of all, being able to speak a beautiful language such as French increases your job potential and is a huge advantage to success in any part of the world. Third of all, to those who do have an IQ equivalent to dung beetle, majority of the Canadian population, I would have to say 99 percent, does not live in igloos. However, even though there are inuits who live igloos in the NorthWest Territories, the Yukon or Nanavut, I fail to see why this is a bad thing?
An igloo is a brillaint peice of architecture, and it is quite cruel to make fun of those who live in them. Also, majority of Canadians are, once again, not lumberjacks. And also once again it is quite cruel to insult the occupation of lumberjacks, for without them you lose out on a lot of luxuries you would normally enjoy. And even though we do say eh, again I fail to see what this has to do with why Canada sucks? This is insignificant crap. Third of all, I would like to clarify that Canada does not have a president. We have a Prime Minister. And you can't say he sucks because clearly if you thought he was a president, you can't know all that much about him.
To the person who used the arguement. "Canada has the best universities in the world" Yes Canada has excellent universities, and they rank among one of the best in the world, Universities such as University of Toronto, Queens University, Waterloo University, McMaster University, Western University, etc,but understand that America also has brilliant universities such as Princeton, Yale, Harvard, Standford, etc that also rank among the best in the world.
Canadians, be mature, stop bashing the Americans, and even the things they said are mean and spiteful, understand that they do not speak for the American population. Vice versa with Americans. Understand that the mean comments made by some of the Canadians does not speak for the einter Canadian population. Ignorance exists everywhere, no country is perfect, no country is the worst, and we are instrumentally good in our own ways.
Most of the responses are uneducated, untrue, and grossly moronic. Please learn to make a more educated argument in the future, or don't make one at all.
