In seventh grade, we had a big performance. I was in dance and Jonny was in choir. During practice, my classmate Nina saw Jonny looking at me. Right away, she figured that Jonny liked me and I knew that it couldnt be. Jonny and I were just friends (maybe not even that) Nina told Sarah, Mell, Michelle, and all the other girls in the class. Sarah and Mell went up to Jonny and told him to ask me out. (I didnt know what going out was back than. I knew about dating, but I knew that we were deffently too young for that. All the girls teased Jonny, i saw him really upset in the hall. I cryed for him. They saw me crying and attomatically thought that I liked Jonny back. They told Jonny that I liked him back and he was mad. He wrote an email to mell and sarah saying: I talked to Adella yesterday and I saw she was really upset. You better apologize or else. -Jonny. This letter meant the world to me. Here I realized that Jonny really was a true friend and i was a true friend to him. When I ever I saw Jonny, we used to privately tell each other how we felt. It made me feel like his older twin sis.
I really wanted to help Jonny out so I got the girls to stop teasing him. I thought that they might stop teasing me. We went on a field trip to an amusement park. Then I realized that Jonny and I both had something is common. We both have fears of ferris wheels. and in the science fair, we both had the same title notc knowing. We realized many simmalarities. Before school ended, I heard one of our classmates going up to Jonny is the libray. he asked Jonny, "Do you like Adella?" and hes like, "yeah, she is a really good friend." It was the end of 7th grade and all the girls wrote Jonny's name all over my yearbook. I asked Jonny to sign my yearbook, not realizing that his name was all over the page that he signed.
That summer, Jonny and I talked online for the whole 1st half of the summer he asked me out 2x and the second half, he went to camp. When Jonny came back from camp he was really rude. I thought he was moody or something so I left him alone. A week or so passed and Jonny was still moody. I thought maybe he was mad at me so I apologized. He forgave me and he asked me to forgive him and everything was cool. Later, Jonny began to ignore me. I decided not to talk to him either, b/c i thought that he maybe didnt want to talk. A few days later, one girl told me that she overheard Jonny telling another boy that he isnt friends w/ me. I didnt know what happened to Jonny. He used to be so nice and my best friend. Once in a while, Jonny asks nice and normal. I emailed Jonny asking him why he doesnt want to be my friend anymore, but he wouldnt respond.
B4, i thought that Jonny was my true love. We had so much in common. Now we barelly talk and when we do i get all shy because I dont know what to say to him- I am afraid of saying something that will make him hate me.
