1 About the Butcher in the Basement

In January their birthday rolled around and the two got very excited, as little kids do. Their birthday came and passed, just like the wind. That night, at 11:00 P.M, Oscar heard some sounds down in the basement. Trying not to wake his sister Oscar glided down the stairs with great ease. When he came to the basement door he could clearly hear a husky voice singing. Oscar assumed it was his father just doing some cleaning in the basement.
When Oscar turned to leave the basement door creaked open slowly. Oscar looked and saw it. A nice little taffy, sitting there, calling him. Doing what little children do he ran to get the taffy. As he peered down the stairs he saw even more delightful taffies, varing in size and colors. He bounded down the steps letting his sweet side take over.
The next morning Mayann looked all over for her brother. She looked in the closets, the playhouse, even in the cupboards. Oscar was no where to be seen. When Mayann alerted her parents about Oscar, they grew frantic. They also looked everywhere. Except the one door they looked over, the basement.
Weeks past as they looked. By that time a horrific odor was emerging from the basement. Going to see what happened June grabbed her cleaning products and headed to clean up. She looked at what was smelly terrible. It was the insides of her little baby Oscar. His insides were laid out in neat order, like someone wanted to make it look nice. Around the basement was message written in blood:
"I'll pluck you off one by one"
Seeing this she ran upstairs to tell her husband, who, immediatly called the police. The police arrived and told them of a butcher that once lived here, back in 1875. His name was Buck. He was the best butcher around, he always had the tenderist meat. When people asked him how he got it so tender he would just reply "Doing it the way Ma did". People from far and wide started to come just for Buck's meat. Then the people that were supling him with his meat went out of business. Desperate for meat, he went looking, for anything. One day he was back in business finding another way to get meat. People started getting sick and dying. So the police went to investigate. What they found in the basement were children, in boxes. It seemed that he stole children from orphanages and killed them for his tender meat. He'd fatten them up with candy, taffy perfurably.
When the parents heard about this they immediatly moved out. Perkins' Place still stands, uninhabited. With Buck still chopping away at the most tender meat in all the land.
