1 A dedication to Starry and Geeza

There was a whole heap of people at our mates place having a party and jus doin our own thang.  Adam and Joel decided to go for a joy ride with some of their other mates.  Sadly this joy ride turned everyones life upside down.  The truck they were in rolled.  There were three other people in the accident (two in the car and three - including Adam and Joel - on the back)  One of the guys in the car escaped with a few scrathces and the driver, well I'm not too sure.  As for the three on the back, one shattered the bones in her leg and was in hospital for a while while Adam and Joel did not survive. 
This peom is in dedication of two great mates the students at North Rockhampton High (Australia) lost in the year 2003.  Adam and Joel had everything going for them, they were smart, funny, athletic, overall great guys.  Adam was a huge football fan and was bound to become a huge star.  Although I didn't know them as well as the authors of this poem did, I knew them enough to be affected by the pain and loss of these two great souls.  There is so many things they will never get to do, they didn't get to graduate, they didn't get to see their 18th birthdays or their 21st.

You were here but now you are free
In our hearts you will always be

Sparkling smiles, full of love
We know you are up there way above

Passing the footy to one another
It brings us comfort that you have got each other

We think about you everyday
No words can express what we want to say

We miss you and we always will
You have left a hughe gap that no-one can fill

Some things in life aren't alwayz clear
The one thing we do know is that you'll always be near

We will always treasure the times that we spent together
And remember you now, always and forever

You both had an honest and loving soul
We will see you in Heaven, Adam and Joel.

It is such a sad moment in life when someone you love is gone.  Make sure you treasure every moment you have together and tell the ones closest to you exactly how you feel before it is too late, because you will regret it.  Be careful and think about your actions because it could be you or someone elses son or daughter that has to pay the consequences.  Take care y'all.
