1 -One of Infinite Replies to the Canadian/American War-

It has been a long time since I have seen such a find display of stupidity, ignorance, and immaturity, especially on a website like this.
I have lived in both countries at certain times of my life and honestly, I cannot say which country is better. Each country is huge, spanning a lot of miles and containing a lot of people who each have their own experiences. So how can an American from say, Florida, compare his or her experiences (or lack thereof) with a Canadian from say, Nova Scotia? I was laughing hysterically as I read many of these "Apologies" and "10 Reasons Why...". I was really really amazed at the absurdities that people came up with, 99 of them having no real substance and no real thought behind them.
There are many stereotypes associated with Americans and Canadians. There are stereotypes for everything and everyone. Perhaps that is a downfall of our society. It makes people insecure and unhappy, or in this case--it has started a fight. For example, many of my American friends can be quite ignorant ("Isn't life in Canada REEEAAALLLY different? I mean, it HAS to be because you live in providences instead of states" This was a real life quote. No jokes.), and some of my Canadian friends accusing me of being -Heaven Forbid..- ...AMERICAN I encounter this type of thing everyday and it has long stopped bothering me.
I loved it when I lived in the States, I still miss it. I might even say that I prefer the States to living in Canada. However-- this is only because I went to a good school, had good friends and all that. Suppose I had gone to a really bad school with unfriendly people and terrible administration. This might have changed my perspective on the United States. Would I go around saying, "I hate the United States of America?" One experience cannot define a huge country such as the US or Canada. Thus, it is impossible to say which country is "better".
You have probably guessed it by now, but I am a Canadian and to be honest, I am a rather indifferent Canadian. I realize that there are many things that I am lucky to have because I am Canadian, such as free healthcare, fewer bomb threats, and a relatively cleaner reputation. I know that it is easier to travel the world with my Canadian passport. I know that the Canadian flag is much more respected around the world. However, does this make Canada the number one country? I am not sure. I do like the States. My experience living there was really positive. But I don't think that it's anyone's place to judge which country is better. This fight is getting long and pointless and I should you people would smarten up and just stop.
Sorry if I sort of rambled there. If anyone want to talk they can email me.
