17th of Feb was the night we'd all been waiting for, the Brit Awards 2004. I was hoping for the best people to win...

So my fave band The Darkness finally got recognised for their talent, with Justin's strange voice and those catsuits, they're in a league of their own. They are so different to anyone else just lately and thats why they deserved 3 awards. Have you heard about them yet America??? They got best album.

Dido got 2 awards even though she couldn't make it to the place her voice is spectacular and her songs are lovely.

OK the hype about Timberlake was almost reflected in his winner of 2 awards also. I'm not into his songs but he deserved to win 2 international titles.

Busted, well they're the UKs new hottest pop band. Three young guys who play guitars and sing songs that a five year old could write better. They certainly tried too hard when they preferred to play a cover version instead of their new single to sound all rock. They were the "best pop act" thats all I can say...

One for Beyonce...Who cannot sing live... well the parts she sang were OK but she preferred to do the uh-oh dance rather than prove to us brits that she's more than an expensive hair piece. Oh what was that? Best international female.

One for the mothers out there, the 80s band Duran Duran winning outstanding contribution...deserved well done great performance- wild boys.

A surprise winner was the white stripes who for me are just a brother and sister who play good music.

50 Cent won International breakthrough and even though I'm not a rap fan at least his performance was good.

Daniel Bedingfield, lemar and basement jaxx were amongst the others.

Now I must say my fave band will certainly be The Darkness and they will get HUGE overnight.
