im a trainee midwife studyin midwifery at salford college, united kingdom, and the girl who wrote the first reply is correct, the brain of a foetus does not develop until 5 months of  pegnancy, abortion is an acceptable option during pregnancy, a baby is only considered a person, and has rights once it is born, while a foetus is in the womb it is the responsibility of the parent, it is also their decision as to what happens to that foetus.

to the girl who wrote the 2nd reply, you made some very good points but you failed to mention that it is illegal for a girl under the age of 16 to engage in sexual activities, this law stands for a reason, if a teenager becomes pregnant, even if she sleeps around, they wont be expected to keep the child, as they are only children themselves, you also failed to mention the possibility of the failure of contreceptives, for example if a condom splits, it is not the fault of either person, it is an accident, but if a girl becomes pregnant, she also would not be axpected to keep the baby.

abortion is available for a reason, in some peoples eyes it may be morally wrong, but like the first girl said, if it was wrong, it wouldnt be an option.
