One day you would break my heart
But until the day came
I acted all the same
I said I loved you, you knew it was true
There was no way I could ever leave you
You promised to love me until the end
Then how come now you are just my friend
Your the one that broke my heart
Your the reason my world fell apart
All guys are the same
They end up falling for whats-her-name
Some bimbo who comes along
Who makes you forget our favourite love song
The one that you sang for me
While we sat under the old oak tree
So you say it with a smile
"It was fun for a little while"
Those simple words turned my smile into tears
Made all my memories turn into fears
All I could think about was why me
And in my head all I could see
Were the times we shared
When I thought you really cared
Then one day I get the call
"This is Ms.Hoover from down the hall"
"Your boyfriend slit his wrist"
"It's really too bad he will be dearly missed"
I hang up the phone with nothing to reply
Why would he want to die?
He had everything he ever dreamed
Or at least thats what it seemed
Before he left he wrote a note and this is what it said:
"The only thing in my head"
"Were the times we shared"
"When I knew I really cared"
"I really will miss you"
"It's seems like there is nothing else I can do"
"This must be the only way"
"You will see why one day"
"I'm sorry Nicki I didn't mean to hurt you"
"But it was just something I had to do"
His letter was to me
To make me really see
All he did from the start
Is want to be taking into my heart.
Thats the end of my many poems in one. And in case you were wondering all the parts about my boyfriend commiting suicide are true. He was only 15 when he did this...and although the letter he wrote was a bit different he said many of those lines. His mother called me that night to tell me what had happened. She didn't know we had broken up and didn't know what the letter meant. I spent that whole night with his mom crying. I myself have never thought of suicide but he did and it was the biggest mistake ever. Well anyways, thanks for reading my poem
