I used to have a lovely owner, she always cared for me and fed me. But then she died, i had no where to go, and somehow i ended up with someone completely the opposite to her, he never fed me or loved me, i just got locked up and kicked.
  One night, he staggered in drunk, he was mad and frustrated. I hid in the corner, hoping he wouldn't see me, but he did. "Whack" He kicked me with his boots, i went tumbling into the corner. "Stupid fleabag" He yelled, His face was red and his hands were all scrunched up in anger. I hoped he would leave me alone and go upstairs, but he didn't. "Whack" He went again and again, harder and harder each time. I lay sprawled on the floor, barely alive, i wished it would all be over, i wished i was dead. My body felt numb with pain. He grabbed me hard with his hands and flung me out of the door with such force. I turned unconcious for hours and when i woke up my body was aching all over and i was lying in a garden.
  Everywhere was painful and i was only just alive. I lay there for a short while, just miaowing, soon a teenager came out of the house and saw me, she scooped me up gentlly into her arms and carefully took me into the house to see her mum, they were kind and for the first time in ages i felt loved. They wrapped a towel around me and took me to the vets. The vet checked me and after many treatments and operations somehow made all the pain go away. I was better. My new owner, the one who saved my life, is wonderful, she plays with me and never forgets to feed me. I never go cold or lonely now, my life is wonderful but i remember a time when i just wanted to die. There is thousands of animals who die every year because of animal cruelty, i am one of the few out of many who have survived.
