Unfortunately, Rochelle, you've obviously never read the Bible. Scientists don't need to prove it wrong, because it is so contradictory as to prove itself wrong. Don't believe me? Genisis chapter one and Genisis chapter two give different accounts of the creation of the world. How odd. Apparently, both are true.
Fortunately, Seraphim, yes I have. And I think the word you're looking for is "obviously." By the way, that's not two different versions of creation. To make a long story short, Adam and Eve populated the earth, people became unGodly, God tells Noah to make an ark, Noah gets his wife, sons, their wives, and a pair of every single land animal on the boat, and God floods the earth. God makes a promise never to flood the earth again, and Noah and family begin again. And it's spelled "Genesis."
Another interesting item, quite worthy of note, is Noah's little flood. It is amazing that the Chinese, with their 8000 year recorded history, failed to mention the entire world being covered by water. No doubt they have more important things to do.
No one really knows how old the earth is. Anyway, who cares? Maybe the flood happened BEFORE China became a country. Did you ever think THAT just might be possible?
Speaking of history, how can the Chinese have 8000 years of it if the world is, as the Bible would lead us to believe, only six or seven thousand years old? And what of fossils, proved to be hundreds of millions of years old?
Some believe that after the dinosaurs came humans, which accounts for the million-year-old fossils and fossil fuels
The Bible does not say, or lead anyone to believe, that the earth is any age.
I'm curious how the Bible doesn't have any mistakes, considering the problems I pointed out above. Also, if the Bible is the literal, inerrant word of god, we have a problem, unless god spoke to the prophets in English. Languages do not translate perfectly.
I'm sure God understands that. But the overall message is the same in any language, and that's what really counts.
Now that I have offered sufficient evidence to prove Rochelle wrong, I eagerly await the replies this message will undoubtable generate.
At least I can spell "undoubtedly," which is probably the word you're wanting. Also, I hope realize that a seraphim is a six-winged angel in HEAVEN.
