I remember when you first came into this world,

I remember everything about that day,
The smells, what everyone was wearing?
I even remember the people there,
Including the ones I didn't know.

I remember when I first got to hold you,
I got goose bumps,
You opened your eyes and some said it wasn't possible yet,
But if you believe it you smiled at me.

I was so scared I had no idea how to be a "role model",
How to be a good person,
So you could grow to be great,

I've never felt so insecure,
About anything,
You’re so little...
So little and so fragile.

Oh, your first word...
Ball that's all you said for months on end,
I don't quite remember you saying mama,
But daddy came out clear as day

Aww.... your first steps,
I felt like the luckiest person in the world,
You let me see
It, you stood up and started scootin',
You looked like a pro....

...Oh and Mooshe...
You called me that for a few months,
Now it’s hard for you to listen to anyone.
You're so interested in learning new things,
Smells, sights. Anything and.everything...

I can't wait for you to become,
Who you’re going to be. Sure your,
You now but you still have to grow.

Are you going to be lawyer, a writer, and a teacher?
None of us know yet, frankly it doesn't matter.
I will always remember that first day,
And because of that,
No matter what you do, or who you are and/or become
I cant ever stop loving you and
I will always be,
Especially when no one else is
