you knew this was true, from your friends at school.
everyone loved you, and envied you too
They would've given anything, to be in your shoes.
Although you were popular, you were also rude
and I remember how you were once called crude
You stood up for yourself, and that was good, although you shouldn't of teared off Kerine's coat hood.
two years went on, we still remained friends, you didn't seem to care that I wasn't into trends
I don't like gothics (as you so nicley put it) but for you, girl, I'll make an exception.
Now we all knew, that you wouldn't take crap, this resulting in giving "her," a slap.
well, that was the last of you seen at our school, but we still kept in touch, any exceptions wouldn't be cool.
So it had been a while, I was thinking of calling you, but suddenly I felt a chill,..No. not you.
I got a phone call from ...well, not your best mate. Sorry..She's dead. My head felt like slate.
I wouldn't beleive it, I screamed the house down, they said it was hit and run, she's up in the clouds.
My life fell apart when I got that phone call. I went upto bed and wouldn't come down atall.
6 weeks later, the funeral I attended, It was crowding out the door, I barley got in.
I looked around, strangers, friends, relatives, some I knew, and then you came in and were put infront of the pew.
I stared at the box, so shiny and purple (your favourite colour) and tried to forget it was you in there.
I watched as they then led you back out, I couldn't beleive i'd never again, hear you shout. Popular, fashionable, beautiful, and you knew it, I would've done so much to make it me and not you, I could barley breathe when they drove you away, my best friend gone because of a drunks night of play.
A few months later, I went out for a walk, the sky was purple, how weird, I thought. I knew right then, it had to be you, after all purple was the only colour worth praise, thankyou for sending me those last purple rays.
This is in dedication to one of my best mates Chloe, as you can probably tell, she didn't take much from anyone, and was always getting excluded from school. It was the weirdest thing, after she went, to look at the sky and see all purple, and I truley beleive it was her. :D I just wanted to get it out.
