Rating: PG-13
Quality: (Quality: Unrated)
This is a story about the Vietnam War that really makes you appreciate how lucky we US
people are:
It was during the Vietnam War, a US army bus full of innocent Vietnamese civilians
was travelling on a secret route to try and get across the border, so that they could
be free. USA Sergeant Jim Bordegi was on the bus, in charge of the mission. These
people knew the danger they were going through, they knew that if they made the
slightest sound and got caught trying to escape, they would all be killed on the spot.
A young woman with a swaddled blanket in her arms and a young hen beside her sat
on the bus. All the suddent the Sergeant heard a terrible screeching sound coming from
where the woman was sitting, he referred to the chicken at said, "You'd better shut
that thing up!" He turned back around as the woman was lightly coo-ing to try to make
the screeching stop. The screeching continued, so he turned around again and said, in
the harshest voice he had, "You make that thing shut up, you know if the Vietnam
officials hear that they'll kill us all!" The woman starting crying silently, and the
Sergeant knew she'd have to kill the chicken to make the screeching stop. The
screeching immediately stopped, but when the Sergeant turned around the chicken was
still alive and pecking away. The woman was crying, and she handed him her swaddled
blanket, when he looked in the blanket there was a lifeless body of a 3 month old
infant inside....
The screeching wasn't from the chicken....
