I'm sorry (wait, no I'm not) but that is complete BS. Although I may be athiest I love debating religion with everyone and anyone (except, I imagine, with people like you who don't even want to try to hear other people's views and opinions unless they coincide with their own). Simply because this person doesn't share your faith or have a faith at all does NOT mean that they should not be allowed to express themselves, especially at a site like this where expressing yourself is the point. Maybe I don't want to here the "crap", as you put it, that YOU are saying. Perhaps I should tell you that if you are faithful to keep it to yourself, you're suffocating me with it, it's not my opinion so I simply don't want to hear it. If you're not ready for responses such as the one this person wrote, simply do not come onto this site, because you'll only find more of the same. Also, if the person had renounced Christianity but claimed hold to some other faith, such as Buddhism or Islam, would you still make that same statement? They would have faith, just not YOUR faith, and I'm sure that you wouldn't want to hear their opinion any more then than you do now. And, by the way (to one of the responses, I forget which one), I lost faith in Christianity (yes, I was raised as one, although my faith was never terribly strong) for no other reason than I saw the ludicrousness in it. With that said, my reason was probably very similar to the person who first started this particular string of messages. So don't go telling that perosn, myself, or anyone else that there had to be more of a reason. I simply sat down, used my brain, and found countless flaws with Christianity and religion overall. It simply doesn't work for me. YOU can do the same. You DO have a brain, don't you? Even if it is brain-washed and drone-like under the power of the cult wearing a veil that says "higher power." One more response, if Jesus loves me so (as you put it, unconditional love) then why will he send poor little faithless me to hell for not accepting him as my savior. I'm a poor little lost sheep, baaah. Sense the sarcasm. But seriously, how arrogant of a belief is that? He loves me but for not accepting him he'll send me to eternal damnation? Come on, please. I've said it before and I'll say it again: if by chance I am wrong and all the Christians are right and Jesus was our savior and the only way to be saved is to accept him, I'd soooooo much rather go to hell than spend an eternity with such an arrogant pompous being. I don't care if she did create the world and unviverse and gave her only son to save us. For someone who is supposed to be omnipotent and all-loving and forgiving, to send someone to Hell for eternity seems the oppostie of all that.
