1 A LET FREEDOM RING!

--A government forward with a few thoughts from Americans all over the country to ponder...
A little boy asked his father: 'Daddy, what is politics?' Sitting his son down, the father replied: 'Well, son, that is a difficult question - best I explain it to you like this.
I am the breadwinner of the family so let's call me Capitalism. Your mother controls everything so we'll call her the Government. Our maid works for your us so she would be the Working Class. You are answerable to us, so you would be termed The People, and your little baby brother is The Future. Do you understand?'
The Little boy was a bit bewildered by his father's explanation, but decided to go to bed and think about it. During the night, he was awoken by the sound of his baby brother crying. Getting out of bed to investigate, his found his brother's diaper to be severely soiled. He ran to his parents room only to find his mother fast asleep and his father out of his bed. He attempted to wake his mother, but she just grunted and remained fast asleep. He then walked out into the hall and noticed the guest room light on. He peered inside and saw his father in bed with the maid. Confused, he went back to bed.
The next day, the little boy told his father he understood politics much better now. 'Excellent, son, what have you learned?'
The little boy thought for a minute and then said: 'I've learned that while Capitalism is screwing the Working Class, the Government is fast sleep and ignoring the people... and the future is in deep shit.'
Under President George W. Bush, current US foreign policy is nicely summed up in the policy paper written in the 1990s by The Project for the New American Century (PNAC), whose authors include senior Bush Administration officials including Paul Wolfowitz and Vice President Dick Cheney. The strategy outlined by PNAC was a plan to make the US the sole world super power by controlling Middle East oil through invasion of Iraq and Iran, for a start. PNAC also planned to kick North Korea's ass into oblivion (Axis of Evil, anyone?) PNAC recognized that implementation would be a difficult sell to the American people, and that a "Pearl Harbor-like event" would be necessary to implement their scheme; then came 9/11. Under the disguise of combating terror, and promoting freedom and democracy, their reactionary political agenda is being executed.
Sorry to go all French on everyone, but why would we go to war if we only have like 4 allies? If nearly every single country in the world is against us, does anyone else in the US get the feeling that we are doing something wrong? Ok yeah we're going in to liberate the Iraqi opressed. But does the war have anything to do with oil, or perhaps the fact that Saddam tried to kill Bush's daddy? And does it bother anyone else that even though our country is built on freedom of speech, if we try to speak out against the war or the president we are called unpatriotic? I love America and all that it stands for, but when we are being bullies and not giving help to people in other countries (besides Iraq) that need our help, i think something has got to change. Sure, we can help Iraq's people by liberating them. But couldn't we help many more people around the world with the billions of dollars that this war is going to cost? How is America going to pay for the war anyway? We're already billions of dollars in debt. What are we going to do, depose Saddam and then tell all the countries that we dissed by going to war to foot the bill for rebuilding? All the presidents before Bush tried to keep up diplomatic relationships with other countries, because they realized that if we didn't, little countries would band together and get rid of the only superpower left in the world- the USA. But Bush, now Bush decides that countries don't need our financial aid, and that war is 'justified' if he thinks the leader of a country has weapons of mass destruction, but he doesn't feel the need to make sure he does before he goes to war.
To the tune of "If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands"...
If you cannot find Osama, bomb Iraq.
If the markets are a drama, bomb Iraq.
If the terrorists are frisky, Pakistan is looking shifty, North Korea is
too risky, Bomb Iraq.
If we have no allies with us, bomb Iraq.
If we think someone has dissed us, bomb Iraq.
So to hell with the inspections, Let's look tough for the elections, Close
your mind and take directions, Bomb Iraq.
It's "preemptive nonaggression", bomb Iraq.
Let's prevent this mass destruction, bomb Iraq.
They've got weapons we can't see, And that's good enough for me 'Cos it's
all the proof I need Bomb Iraq.
If you never were elected, bomb Iraq.
If your mood is quite dejected, bomb Iraq.
If you think Saddam's gone mad, With the weapons that he had,
(And he tried to kill your dad), Bomb Iraq.
If your corporate fraud is growin', bomb Iraq.
If your ties to it are showin', bomb Iraq.
If your politics are sleazy, And hiding that ain't easy, And your manhood's getting queasy, Bomb Iraq.
Fall in line and follow orders, bomb Iraq.
For our might knows not our borders, bomb Iraq.
Disagree? We'll call it treason, Let's make war not love this season, Even
if we have no reason, Bomb Iraq
Isn't it good to know how we are
facing the biggest defecit in our history,
becoming the most comedic dinner conversation for all the other States as they laugh at our dumbass (president),
becoming the most hated State in the world,
killing innocent people..most of which are ourselves,
creating Iraqi police troops which have the power to detain our people..one of which was beheaded after being detained,
are under the rule of a Government who tries their best to stop college students ( the future ) from voting, probably walking next to one of the al-Quaida members that the Government is convinced is here and planning a major attack this Summer,
still after all this...sitting back and watching it happen?
If you're gay and would like to marry, vote for Kerry
If you want the world to kick us in the tush, vote for Bush
Even if you're not gay but would still like to live a life that is merry, vote for Kerry
