My Throat so dry I cannot speak
I've reached for the knife it's all I've got
I tried too hard to be what I was not
I've felt so bitter and empty inside
Didn't you know each night I cried
So when I did cut it all became real
Blood seeping through its all I can feel
I've harmed my wrists so many times
And wish I wouldn't but do it again
It's what gets me through each day
Without it I'd certainly fall
'cause I don't like myself at all
I know people say I need some help
I find talking only makes it worse
I want to stop I really do
I've lasted this long I've made it through
But tomorrow night I will be gone
Forever and ever, so forth and so on
I became life's victim I didn't want to
But I blame myself it's not because of you
It's my fault not yours that I don't want to live
So I'm just hoping you're willing to forgive
