since the last time we were seen,
now I sit here in this chair,
and I wonder how you've been.
I remember the day in my kitchen,
your eyes smiled when you laughed,
you picked me up and through me on the couch,
do you remember that?
I remember the day in the dugout,
we froze under the falling snow,
our hands clasped together for warmth,
you remember that I know.
I remember the day out by the bridge,
when we drove over it almost broke,
you said "I told ya we'd make it"
Remember those words you spoke
The bridge, I declare, is us,
and the words you said were true,
we were falling apart and lost some pieces,
but still we can rebuild new
We fell into the water below,
and almost every night I cry,
but before we can start over again,
I'll have to learn to say goodbye.
I look across the water as if I see you,
I wonder all the time...everyday,
if you remember that we will find each other,
We know we will...someday...
