Snuggling up with my mommy so dear
Listening to the soft voice only I could hear
Rocking back and forth
As I start to dream
My life is so perfect, or so it seems...
As I awaken I look at my mother
She is more pretty than I have ever seen her
She is in a beautiful white gown
But I can't find my dad
Is this the life I was expected to have?
My daddy is living with another pretty girl now
I visit him on weekends, but it's quite a journey to get down
My mom is with a man, that is not my father
He thinks I am a pain; thinks I'm a bother
Mom tells me it'll be alright
But then why am I staying up crying all night?
I finally convince
My mom that he's not her prince
And DIVORCE ends this disaster.
As I am finally ready to start my new life
My mom finds a new husband
Only to cause more pain and strife.
I finally explain
I can't take all this pain
When we decide it's time for a talk.
I'm almost 14 now
My life's gone by so fast~WOW!
I am fine with my mom and her man
I still get to see my dad every now and then
Oh did I tell you that I have a brother now?
His name is Zack, and I love him.
I also have my baby girl sis Maddy
She's great too she makes me happy
Although they come from my Dad and Jess
I still love them~My life is the best!
Jess is cool I love her...
She is the best stepmother ever!
Al is great too,he showed me how to ski
And even though practically my whole family is split up...
THEY STILL LOVE ME!
So if ur in this position
Please don't cry
Life is great
Don't let it slip on by
Even though u dont have the traditional family unlike some of the rest
Ur life can still be cool-In fact, it could be the best!
