ok so i had a best friend lets just call her jenna. ok so jenna was my best friend and there was a group of us girls that were a little click or whatever, we were in the 8th grade. jenna was my best friend and i was always there for her. another girl in our click kelsey lets call her, was pretty much the most popular girl at our school, we were dumb little 8th graders, and it seemed everybody wanted to be her best friend. now kelsey had had a best friend since like 2nd grade in our small school, and that was carinna. but this past year kelsey started ditching carinna for jenna, just because she wanted to fit into highschool and jenna would drink. i would drink too, and me and jenna got along so well we were best friends.
now ur probably thinking wait did u say there were 5 of you in your click? yes i did. so before i continue on my story ill introduce you to joanne. she was the 5th girl. now joanne was straitedge and didnt drink. so of course joanne was ditched by kelsey. joanne also was the 1 follower of kelsey. and sometimes kelsey would like joanne, other times she would hate her but joanne would just keep calling for hours, i feel kinda bad for her now that im letting this out, and kelsey would continue to ignore her phone calls. joanne just was a follower to start with. sad i know...
anyways back to my story, so me kelsey and jenna would get drunk alot in the middle part of this school year. and so carinna and joanne would get excluded. all of us were going to the same highschool except carinna, kelseys best friend, so kelsey actumatically became close with me and jenna, who were both going to the same highschool as kelsey. thus she pretended that she loved drinking with us (which i later found out that she didnt like it at all...she only did it to fit in with us and to fit in later on like in highscool)
so yeah jenna and kelsey got pretty close, and carinna and kelsey drifted apart...not much later me and jenna drifted apart. now kelsey used to make fun of jenna sometimes and make her feel bad, or just fight with her and it was mean. jenna woudl always come crying to me and id make her feel better. then kelsey realized she needed jenna to be cool and popular in highschool, so she couldnt be mean to her anymore, she had to become her best friend THIS IS THE PART WHERE KELSEY SOLD OUT so yes, kelsey changed herself to fit in, kids never do that, its dumb. and of course jenna didnt want to be treated like shit like she was before by kelsey, so they became best friends THIS IS THE PART WHERE JENNA SELLS OUT so jenna changed her taste in music a little bit to softer rock to match kelseys and kelsey changed her taste in music a little bit to actually listening to rock instead to rock. they both changed.
so me and carinna are sad because our two best friends completely changed just to fit in. its dumb, and it just makes me mad uz jenna was always talking about how "she doesnt care what anyone thinks of her" and lies like that. its actually sad b/c i do care about both of them and so does carinna and if their just going to go to highschool and destroy themselves just to fit in, their just dumb and im sorry for that. and no, im not being a hypocrite by saying that and also drinking and having sex (neither of them have done that yet) but i do not drink to fit in or be popluar, its because i like the taste and im such a happy drunk i have so many problems in life and the alcohol just makes me happy and thats rare for me to be truly happy unless ive cut myself. so yes, i dont drink it to fit in and even if they were straitedge i would still drink regardless.
the point of my long story is....dont change who you are just to fit in or be popular, its not worth it. be yourself. and your real friends will like u no matter what, and the ones who dont like u for who u r, but oonly like u if u change urself, are not worth haveing as friends. trust me after all the shit ive been thru with people changing, its dumb and their just gonna scew themselves over in highschool, and its not worth it. BE YOU
