1 poem for my grandmother!

This is a poem I wrote in memory of my grandmother, Jean Magerkurth, she passed away from cancer on July 24th 2003. I wrote this for the one year anniversery of her death. I really hope ya'll like this.


Memories

This Past Year Has Gone By So Fast,
But All My Memories Will Forever Last.
I Will Never Go A Day Without Thinking Of You,
You Always Had Something To Teach Me, Always Something New.

Life Is Harder Without You Always By My Side.
Many Nights I've Wondered Why, Many Nights I've Also Cried.
I Still Don't Understand Why You Had To Go So Soon,
You Seemed So Normal Just In June.

But Then Came July, And Then You Took Ill,
When I Heard The Awful News Time Just Stood Still.
I Couldn't Believe What Was About To Happen,
I Thought You Could Beat It, But You Were Only Human.

I Know You Did All You Could, And Tried Your Best,
But The Cancer Was Just Too Big Of A Test.
I Love You And Miss You So Very Much.
I Would Do Anything To Once More Feel Your Touch.

I Miss Hearing What You Had To Say.
I Miss Talking On Those Wonderful Days.
I Miss Laughing About Every Silly Thing.
I Miss Sitting And Listening To You Sing.

I Miss Staring At The Night Sky.
I Miss Not Worrying About Being Shy.
I Miss All Those Days We Would Bake.
I Miss Seeing Your Face When I Would Wake.

I Miss Helping You With Your Flowers.
I Miss Listening To The Nice Spring Showers.
I Miss All The Things We Used To Do.
I Miss Everything About You.

I Would Do Anything To See Your Caring Face.
No Matter How Many Years, No One Will Ever Take Your Place.
I Was Very Lucky To Have You As My Grandmother,
And You Will Always Have A Place In My Heart Forever
