if avril was a poser why would she write a song about pretenders i.e. complicated? avril came out during 2001-2002 when punk music was not exactly "in". it was after she got popular that punk music became got trendy. so people who copy her like hilary duff etc..are the really posers.  avril wasnt doing something that was already happening to get popularity which makes her original. avril has her own style if u still havent noticed. in any case she never called herself a punk, her style made it obvious for the media to label her as one. and she does play the guitar...i've seen her live and is talented. her new cd's amazing. let it speak for itself
