I find perfection
In a world of bliss
I make my selection
I open my heart
In hope you would give me yours
I asked for a chance

There are so many things
I want to say
Professed my love
But you would not stay
In a world of hurt
I wander away
In search of a love
I had given away
With rose colored glasses
I looked for you
In vain hope that
You would find me too
I see your face
Everywhere I go
In hope that you too
Do miss me so
You would not leave
Something that was already dead
You would not see
Cause it was change you dread
You ended up hurting
Something that was so beautiful
Something so pure and innocent
So honest and wonderful
With rose colored glasses
I sit here alone
Cradling a love
The bits that I’ve found
I sit here alone
Waiting for you
In a well of remorse
I think only of you
I wonder in time
Will you come back to me
I let you go
Because you want to be free
Maybe in time
If you come back to nurture
To honor and love
For a future
The void and emptiness
Of not having you near
Of never again hearing
You say “I’m here”
I think of the times
You kissed my cheek
The thought of your lips
Make me weep
With rose colored glasses
I will always cry
My love for you
May it never die
With a heavy heart
I take off

As time goes by
Will I again
See your eyes?
