A great dog, i'll never forget you. REPLY!!!!

I know how you feel about your dog Jay Jay. I had a dog too. She was my all time best friend of all. Her name was Lucky. My daddy got her for me when I was in the 2nd grade. She was always there when I needed someone. When I was scared, upset, or just needed someone to talk to, she was there for me. She was there for me when everyone else walked out on me. It was March 31, 2004, I saw that she was acting different, so my mama brought her to the vet because I had school and they had this rule there that if you miss over three days of class you can't exempt any exams which is totally stupid. Anyways, about 1:00 that evening I had this awful feeling that something had gone wrong, the vet said that she had a slipped disk which caused severe trauma to her neck. The vet also told my mama that Lucky wasn't a fighter and that was the reason that she had given up. When I got home, my mama met me at the door crying. She told me that they just couldn't do anything for her, and that she just gave up about 1:00 that day. I know I sound weird, but I lay there on the floor for over an hour just looking at her, rubbing her, and talking to her. There is one thing I will never forget, and make fun of me if you want, but I did tell her goodbye and that I loved her right before she left. I'll never regret telling her bye. I lost my best friend on that day, and I still visit her grave. I really miss her. Before I got her I really didn't have any friends, but she was the one who turned it all around. She was there for me when the rest of the world walked out. That evening my boyfriend came over and I brought him to her grave so he could say goodbye one last time to, and I started crying right when I got there again. All he could do was tell me it would be ok and give me a hug. I know I've lost my very best friend, but I know she's still with me, she's in my heart. The vet done all he could for her, but I know she had all she could take, she had fought long enough. I know that she'll always be with me, and I'll miss her forever. I love you Lucky.
