ok so i read your message about there being no scientific proof....we are currently studying subjects such as this in awanas...i will give you the condensed version of what my awana book says
-there are over 13000 manuscripts of the new testament that each agree with the current Bible 99.9 and the other .1 is grammar
-the writers of the new testament claimed to be nothing less than historic fact
-in 1947 the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered that bridged the only time gap in between the writings of the books in the Bible
-historians have studied the trial of Christ ((recorded in the gospels)) and the trial of Paul ((recorded in Acts)) the discovere a difference in details between the 2 trials and concluded that it was caused by the change in the way trials were held before and after AD 50
-historians have discovered Bathesda where in the Bible John recorded Jesus healing a man at a pool ((Bathesda))
-the books of the Bible were carefully picked through all the books and included the Canon ((the books of the Bible)) the books not included known as the Apocrypha were not included because they never claimed to be the word of God as well as they were never quoted by New Testament writers
-Archaeology had REPEATEDLY proved the authenticity of the Bible in a number of ways
