Think pop is the best thing in the world? You live for it? Good for you.
Like it matters. It's called an opinion. I used to be one for the "RAP SUCKS, GO TO HELL" quotes, etc. because I don't like rap. Some rap, sure, but for the most, I don't like it. You like it? Power to you. I promise you this'll be the only thing like this coming from me again, because it's pretty pointless (but I'm bored and frustrated).
So what if you think one genre stinks, only because you like another? I like... rock/punk/emo/gothic/some RnB/some pop/J-music. Hell, even some country, and I can still say some of it sucks, because it isn't even all the same. Only relative.
"This sucks because THIS takes more talent" ... WTF.
I actually agreed with this when I first read it, but as some certain people elaborated, it got clouded and stupid. Not in any one genre has every band or artist had the same amount of talent. And even within a band or an artist's history, there's probably a song that was ever so bad. Talent isn't a way to sum up what's 'better'.
Some people have to learn to respect that there are people with rites to their opinions in the world, and they're maybe, just maybe going to be different. I'm always told that if everything was the same and everyone liked the same thing that the world would be a boring place. I never believed it until I actually thought about it.
All this shit about opinions being wrong can just go to hell, because an opinion is never wrong when there are like more than a billion other people who follow that same opinion. Same goes for music. Just get over it. Ugh.
