What I am about to tell you is a Christmas I will always remember. It was a very special time in my life and I did not let this time in my life pass me by. It happened very fast and I did not know what was really happening to me. But this time in my life, I did not know where to run, where to turn or even8230; whom to talk to.
It all started one Christmas Eve when I decided to go have fun with my friends.  We all got in the old beat up, rusty, pickup truck and we headed off out into the blackness of the night. We did things all crazy teenagers do when they get with their friends, act wild and crazy.

My friend, Jason, who was driving said 8220;let8217;s go out to this party out in the woods out by my house8221;. Well everyone agreed and that8217;s what we did. We took the old battered and beat up, blue pickup truck out to the middle of nowhere to this party. We all arrived and there were lots of people out having fun, just like what we were about to do. Well I don8217;t have to tell you what we did, you8217;ve probably already guessed. We all had a little fun and then we decided to go somewhere else.

We all got back into the battered and beat up, blue, pickup truck and we left. We were all wasted and we were feeling good until we got out back onto the highway. We met a couple cars but that didn8217;t seem to affect us any. We drove a little longer and then there was an oncoming vehicle coming towards us. There was something about the way it came towards us. Our vehicle seemed to be drifting towards the oncoming vehicle like it was in love with it. The driver of the oncoming vehicle swerved with all his might to miss us but it didn8217;t happen. The driver of the Shiny, silver diesel now met our truck.

The next thing I remember, I8217;m laying on a cold, hard, blacktop surface, the sirens all screaming all around me, the pitch blackness of the night sky and people scurrying around me like kids when the lunch bell rings.  I saw a women coming towards me with lots of devices. I had asked her what had happened. The lady looked at me and said you were in a bad accident. You are lucky to be alive. It made me feel very scared inside to know that. Then she started doing her business and I was put on a stretcher and lifted into the noisy ambulance. I looked up and I just happened to see what I wish would never have of happened.

My friends were all lying around on the ground all bloody and messed up. I was too dizzy and in pain to really tell which one was which. The battered and beat up, blue, pickup truck was now crushed into pieces. The front in was smashed in severely, there was glass everywhere, and a crew of people was trying to get someone out of the truck. The diesel was not as bad as ours. It was in a ditch alongside the curvy and dangerous road.  I didn8217;t know about the driver though but I hoped he was alright. The last thing I saw from that horrible, terrifying scene was white sheets being put on some of my best friends.

That night was very scary. The next day I was doing fine although I had some bruises, cuts, and a broken arm. I still had a headache but it bothered me to move. The nurse came in and told me everything. I knew I would regret hearing some of the stuff she said. At the end, she told me that 2 of my friends had died on the scene that night and 1 of them was in very critical shape and was not expected to live very much longer. I guess I was the lucky one who lived.  The story was all over the news that day. I couldn8217;t and didn8217;t want to believe what had happened. I hoped it was a very bad dream and I8217;d wake up soon. But I knew it wasn8217;t. It was real.

This was something that you could say changed my life for good. I really miss my friends and the way we always had fun together. But I guess we had a little too much fun that night. We got a little crazy and wild that night.  Well this time in my life was really special to me and it will always be the Christmas I will always remember.
