A Sweet Story

There once was a corporate executive. He was a very rich man, and he could roll in his money. He had 14 maids. He had a loving wife and three beautiful daughters named Cara, Clarissa, and Cassandra. But, because he worked so hard, he never really saw his family. One night, when 17-year-old Clarissa was coming home from a party, she was hit by a car. She died almost instantly. No one ever knew who hit her. Her father was devistated. He quit his job, fired the 14 maids, and spent so long locked up in his room that he became a vegetable, not sleeping or eating for days on end. On the verge of death, the man fell asleep. He dreamed that the spirit of Clarissa came to him. "Father," Clarissa said, "I refuse to let you die. You have a wife, and 2 daughters. They need you to be there and support them, not for you to die. So what if I'm gone? You're needed. Go back." The man woke up an hour later. The doctors said it was a miracle. The man was totally reformed. The man was so rich he didn't need to work anymore, so he stayed home and homeschooled his two remaining children. Everyone who met him said he was the most dedicated father they'd ever met. A few locals said he was possessed by his daughter Clarissa. Whatever it was, it was good for the man. And although his life wasn't perfect, it was as close as life could get to happily ever after.
