This is the first time I've been on this site and all ready, I can tell that this site is going to be infested with mindless twats.
Now, back on topic.
You cannot honestly prove that rappers have more talent that a musician. Wow, they can talk in rhymes and wear their pants at their ankles and walk around like a rooster with a pickle up its ass. You all know what another word for rooster is, right? Well its like they're so shocked to find out they're lacking in that department, that they have to wave around their "bling" and money in our faces, and constantly be seen being fondled by sweaty women. You know, when I was in kindergarden, I used to write little rhymes and say them to the class to a cute little beat, and everyone loved it. Yupp, rap is so hard. If they have so much money, why can't they invest a bit in a belt? I don't want to see peoples asses when I'm outside, keep it in the bathroom.
You wrote something about how rock music is someone whining about (in your Ozzy paragraph) how they want to kill their mothers and no one thought he could make it? Wow...sounds a lot like Feminem, don't you think?
Maybe you should take your own advice, and read the lyrics of the bull shit you listen to, before you try and put down other peoples musical preferences.
I'm not going to say you're an idiot for hating punk, and loving rap. But you are an idiot to even try and start; and believe that you can win an argument like this.
It takes years and years and years of training to be at the level of most rock musicians. Seeing as they play -instruments-.
You can't call the music in rap actual music. Its all computer generated, synthesizer (sp?) noise. Rap must be cool, I mean...synthesizers were cool in the 80's, right?
If you go to a rock concert, you see the band(s) playing their own music, which was written by the band, about something the band can relate to, and really getting into the music. I can guaruntee you that 99 of the time you will never see a rock musician lip synch. Whereas if you go to a rap concert, all you get is some testosterone-pumped, egotistic ass hole waving his wang in your face and talking about how much money he's got, and how much the ladies love him for it. Do you see anyone playing an instrument? How many of those rappers actually wrote their own music?
Point is here, rap=minimal talen, rock/punk=choc full o' talent.
