She dreams of things she's never seen, and emotions she's never felt. She hopes and prays for happiness, but the emptiness swallows her soul. In her dreams, she flies away to a world all her own. The pain can not consume her there. Then without warning, she's thrown back into reality, realizing this place is a mere illusion.She longs to live in her dreams.

The shadows overtake her. She stares into the sky as the orb they call the sun slowly vanishes from sight. It no longer shines so bright. The world became a shade of ebony. No trace of happiness was found. A veil of sadness was laid across the land. The darkness engulfed the world.

She floats through the darkness. The pain slices through her like a knife. Crimson tears stream down her face. She is lost in this world. She knows she could find a way out if she could only think. The darkness invades her thoughts. Taking over her soul.

She stared into the eclipse, and saw the world for what it was. She no longer saw love, understanding, trust, or compassion. For the darkness covered it all. She saw disparing, empty, painful, nothingness. She saw the darkness.
