This is what happened the first time I cried,
I wondered what was happening to my happy little life.
The trouble started when you said those two words,
“Goodbye Forever” - it felt like a curse.

My heart started beating so fast that it hurt,
My face became stained with pearl drops of dirt.
My brain stopped working so I couldn’t move,
My mind started racing as my feet hit the roof.

You didn’t even look back so I turned to run,
All I could think was “where is dads gun”.
As I searched through my parents draws,
I knew these feelings would soon be no more.

I found the gun and hid away in my room,
I pulled the trigger, then, too late, I was doomed.
So please be strong because the first time I cried,
I was weak and ended my happy little life.
