When it comes to a case of power or strength in the world, America wins. But when it comes to popularity and just down right respect, Canada definitely has more votes. Both countries are definitely influential, but in different senses. Both have different outlooks on society, and niether are neccessarily wrong. Canada focuses more towards the greater good of people and the environment around the world, and America is more focused on the well-bieng of their population(generally speaking ofcourse). Now this isnt to say that Americans are blood-thirsty, evil people in the least. Yes, I knowthat your tactics of "helping other countries" are for the greater good, but really what good does it do when you yourself are killing innocent people inthe process. But yes, thats enough of that.
All I want to say is that both countries have their advantages. America's more fast-paced, and commercial-ized. Most of the tv we watch comes out of the US, and a lot of the products we use on a day to day basis come from there too. But whenever I cross the border, I feel 100 immediately unwelcome. People are definitely ruder,which is known worldwide, and its just uncomfortable. When I go shopping in the states it feels as if every single person is judging you, or sizing you up. It seems like everyone has to fit into one specific category, and this is coming from a girl who's traveled to many countries inher life,and i feel america makes me the most uncomfortable.
However, when i'm back here in Canada, its relaxed. People dont judge half as much,and when you walk into someone in the mall,they'll say sorry even if itwas your fault. I dont even remember what else i had to say cause i'm hella tired, but I do know that Canada is a better place to live, and America a better place to visit.
