Why does everybody hate some group or another?
Walking to Math the other day I walked past a bunch of "preps" as they are called by the student population, taking the piss out of some "punks" that were stood nearby. Saying they looked like crap and that they were only doing it to get attention. Some of them may have been but have any of these groups (some of them to name, goths, punks, preps, skaters, etc) even tried to get along with the others. No its most unlikely, because people reject the unfamiliar.
When people ask me what I "am" I have to ask them what they mean and they reply with something incredibly like 'y'know goth, prep whatever.' I tend to stare for about 3 seconds and then tell them that I'm just me.
Well I'm guessing they don't like it because apparently everyone has to belong to a group
Well I say everyone should be allowed to do what they want and wear what they want because they want to do it not because they feel they should.
But could people really survive if they didn't have a system??
Just something to think about.
