This is to my husband who is so far away.

A Young wife sits at home,
patiently waiting for the ringing of the phone.
She keeps up with daily life,
all along with feelings of strife.
Her soldier gone far away,
She prays everyday for him to make it through today.
Her heart races with every phone ring,
As she sleeps alone in her huge California King.
Her heart longs for that hour, that day
when her soldier steps off that plane.
Tho homecoming is 50 weeks away,
she already prepares for him homecoming day.
50 weeks pass and today is that day.
He steps off the plane and with tears,
a soldier and his wife reunited after that long long year.

I love you my wonderful Soldier.
