I couldn't tell you how it happened
one day she was happy, the next she would cry
with these tears no longer she could pretend
It tore her up inside to have her friends see her like this

It was never supposed to be this way
she was supposed to have lots of friends and be happy
but the pain grew worse with each passing day
her friends had no idea of the pain in her

They tried to comfort her, make her happy not sad
but she wouldn't listen, she shrugged them off
The pain inside was controlling her, driving her mad
The poor girl it wasn't even her fault.

Then she went home to meet her loyal friend
The one she met with every day, her razor blade
But at that time she didn't realise the horrible fact
The scars may fade, but the pain will remain the same
This fact her friend forgot to her
She was just a teenage girl trapped in an evil game
The tears flew down her cheek

She makes the decision then and there
to end it all, make the pain leave
with one final cut, the last out of ten
The one that was fatal.

The soothing is there, the pain is gone
She is now free to sing her song
