I didn't want to admit it,
it was easier to lie,
And hide the hurt and emptiness,
to smile instead of cry.
But the hurt was still there,
Just piling up on my heart,
I thought if I told it would come between us,
And I really didn't want to part.
Then one day it was just too much,
To keep alone with no vent,
I still tried to say "o, its okay"
But I just can't play pretend.
My heart was full to burstng,
And hurt added on everyday.
I thought "I'll just keep dong what I'm doing,
then it won't get in the way"
And so I only let it out,
When no one was too near.
At night I told my pillow,
Quietly, so no one could hear.
Our memories were being erased,
And nothing could compare,
To the love I feel 4 u,
But that love is just a giant tare.
And so I just gave up and withdrew,
With my poor heart broken,
A little picture or a braclet,
Our only friendship token.
Maybe you never meant to hurt,
But hurt in me was found,
Maybe you just dont understand.
But I can't heal with my memories around.
I still want to b ur friend,
Cuz I still love u so,
But I need to gain trust be fore nething else,
And maybe my hurt won't show.
