I always fall for you,
You’re that charming guy who gives that one look, it gets me mesmerized.
That look, a connection,
Maybe just an act, no one can judge
It connects with my eyes all the same
And through my eyes it runs to my heart where I feel a pull, a tug, a longing for you.
It’s just an act; I should stop and tell myself.
There all the same,
But I don’t, I pour another drink, the sweet liquid makes me feel confident.
I dance with my girlfriends as you play your ‘hard to get’ act.
I think you are to nervous to approach me but no you’re probably thinking about wherever ill put out.
Do you really care about my feelings, or am I figure, a locker room chat to so to speak.
Ofcourse it’s the later, I soon seem to realise the few weeks which we are shared turn to nothing,
Like a curtain drawn closed, you shut it out, unable to commit or explain.

And as much as ive told myself I'm okay
I know I’m not.
I know every single time this happens it tears a little piece of me up inside.
I think it makes me stronger,
It doesn’t.
Maybe just more wise to the best heartbreak remedies.
