Tears fall warm from my dark eyes,
An unknown sadness fills within the depths of my heart.
I am left feeling hopeless and saddened,
My inner self's torn apart.
All the hungry people on the streets,
The people who have so many needs.
The bureaucrats in high places,
The bureaucrats lost in their own greed.
A world of violence and crime,
Where chilren have to fear as they step out the door.
And when they find the courage to walk,
Guns are fired, and they fall to the floor.
A mother who cannot speak,
Who is cold and feels no love.
Her mind and soul are free,
Like the floating clouds above.
A father she never sees,
A father she hardly knows.
A sister who is unmercifulto her,
But loves her as her anger grows.
It's the one who holds her close,
And makes her feel safe.
She had no wealth, but gave the most valuable thing,
It was her love that she gave.
He shattered her heart,
Something he did not intend.
But she was hurt,
That was when she vowed never to love again.
Her friends who lover her dear,
Who worry about her everyday.
She appreciates it all and wants to say thanks,
But sometimes she just can't find the way.
The friends who help her through all,
Who stick by her through thick and thin.
Nothing could rbeak them apart,
That's what makes them such good friends.
She can wish on every star in the sky,
But the troubles within will never leave her.
She needs strength to fight,
So she called on Him in prayer.
She hopes He hears her cries,
And begs for forgiveness and salvation.
And hopefully He will maker her dreams come true,
Giving her happiness and affection.
All her life she will search for good,
And always try to do right.
She'll put her heart nd sould into everyting,
And fight every battel or war with all her might.
She will search for the harmony and peace in man,
And maybe one day she will find her knight.
She hopes one day man will join hands,
Men of all colors of therainbow, and black and white.
It's the little girl who screams for help,
She's always lived deep inside where no one can see.
She screams and no one hears her pleas,
Because she must be rescued by me.
I see her and feel her sorrows too,
But I am afraid to take a stand.
We both scream out to the wrld,
Waiting for someone to lend a hand.
She is confused by many things,
And everything becomes a blur.
I know all of this and more-
Because she is me, and I am her.
