1 a child left alone....

She cried and told me her mother needed help,
i went to a place where once stood a home,
she showed me her mother but she was long gone
the child asked me " why is mommy bleeding "
Tears streamed down my face as i picked her up.
I hugged her tight, I kissed her on the forehead and told her mommy was dead.
What happened to that little girl i do not know for in the morning
where she layed the night before she was gone
I searched and searched but i could no find where did
the little girl go is she alright?
I went back to the streets of Iraq
I saw a little girl lying dead on the streets
that was the little girl i had gotten to know
that was the little girl she died but how?
in the middle of the night she awoke and searched for daddy
in the middle of the night she found daddy
the same way she found mommy daddy was dead.
someone killed her mommy
someone killed her daddy
and i am sure the same person killed her.
In the streets of Iraq she lies there bleeding a bullet through
Her head and a bullet through her stomach.
Poor little girl she was alone and now she is gone.
- I don't know about you all but that is a pretty screwed up story isn't it? everyday there are hundreds of children dead or left without a home and not families in Iraq...we mourne over one soldiers death but we do not realize that we Kill thousands everyday with our War...like the little girl in the peom and her family too-
- I am a careing person and i believe that WAR is the wrong way to deal with problems..yes they did harm to us too, i dont know what we did but i'm sure they have their reasons...WAR should not be tolerated ANYWHERE in the world...No innocent person deserves to die, everyone has the right to have a life. I am a Canadian and I HATE WAR when will you learn WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER-
