Why do things happen the way they do,
I wish only to know that,
No more,
But no less.
I’ve often thought,
That I could understand myself,
That I could understand what I was doing,
And why I was doing it.
But no.
I can see what I want,
I can aim to achieve it,
I can even get it,
I should be the happiest,
But then I loose it.
I do it all the time,
Mostly with my heart,
I allow it to be lost,
To disappear.
I met a girl once,
Her name was Megan,
I know I loved her,
And I know she felt the same,
Everything was great,
I felt alive.
We decided to go out,
It was great,
I was happy,
Never been better.
But then,
It was gone,
I loved Megan, I still do,
But she stopped loving me.
I don’t know what happened,
One minute we were in love,
The next, I wanted to die,
I couldn’t live,
I cried.
I never cry,
I hate crying,
It’s the greatest release,
It made me feel like nothing,
I was nothing,
I am nothing.
