Ever since that day we met,
that day we first talked and got to know eachother,
the day after when we shared our favorite bands...
And when you revealed to me the master plan.
Ever since that day we met,
I knew that throughout the years, I'd never forget,
that you're the best friend I will always have:
You'll hold my hand in times of doubt,
Help me when I can't figure things out,
teach me in a way I can learn,
give me trust I know I haven't earned,
and forgive me when I cry too long,
but in the end, with you, I feel so strong.
You have a way of convincing me,
to be who I should be,
instead of changing to suit the needs of others.
You have a way of making me laugh,
at jokes I'd normally think aren't funny.
But as my best friend, the way you tell them,
is what brings a smile upon my face,
even when I'm feeling like a failure, a disgrace.
You'll hug me even if you're not the "hug-able" type.
You'll be upset when I'm upset.
You'll tell me the truth with no regrets,
and know you can trust me with your secrets.
With all the living we have done together,
I know that we'll be friends forever,
and all those sweet things you do...
You know I'll do the same for you.
