The thief is none other than the butler!He tried to be too clever by writing down the page numbers, but what he didn't realize was that it was impossible for the bill to lie between pages 35 and 36 because Pgs 35 & 36 appear on the same sheet of paper!(This is true for any book published, without any error ofcourse)
