My heavenly destination
Much higher than the moon
The journey may be long
Many temptations along the way
But if I keep my eyes on God
I'll get my reward someday
Satan keeps on calling though
Saying heaven isnt worth the wait
And everytime I listen to him
I'm a step further from that pearly gate
But I know Jesus wants me more
I've known it all my life
And if I'll only ask him
He'll take away the strife
For since I gave my life to him
I am his child forever
And if I stay close by his side
Theres nothing I cant endeavor
But Satans always there
Throwing temptations in my face
And when I give into his ploy
I fall further from my special place
But theres hope for all
Nothing to fear
As long as we
Keep Jesus near
When we look at Satan
And say our last goodbye
We're guaranteed our spot
With the father in the sky
So I'll keep on climbin
Without going astray
And I'll reach my destination
On a bright and joyfilled day
