*A Cowboy rode into town on Tuesday. He stayed in town for 5 whole days and he left on Thursday. How is that possible? *There are 3 lightswitches downstairs and 3 lightbulbs upstairs. You can only go upstairs to check once, so how do you figure out which lightswitch goes to which lightbulb? *You are driving on a road and come to a fork in the road. One way will lead you to your death and the other will get you home saftly. Standing beside the roads are 2 brothers. One ALWAYS lies and the other ALWAYS tells the truth. You can only ask one question to the brothers to figure out what road will get you home. What question do you ask? The Answers... *The horse he rode into town on is named Tuesday. *Turn 2 lightswitches on and leave one off. Then turn one lightswitch off. Now go upstairs, the lightbulb that is on goes to the switch that you left on. The bulb that is off goes to the switch that you never turned on at all. And the bulb that feels hot is the one that you turned on, then off. *Ask one of the brothers: If I ask your brother how to get home what will he say? Then go the opposite of the way he points. (The brother that tells the truth will tell you what the lying brother will say so you don't want to go down there. And the brother that lies will not tell you what the truthful brother will say so you don't want to go the way he points to either.
